It was a cold morning scooping poop. Our run today covered new territory and we ended up breaking trail and exploring. We decided that we would not return on the trail that we traveled out on. Had some areas that would boarder on being unsafe taking it from the other direction. Made it back safely. Dogs did great.
After returning home, the dogs were snacked and put back to their houses. Then I went into the house and poured a cup of hot coffee. Finally figured out what is better than coffee and a homemade cookie after a -12 degree run. A cup of coffee and a homemade cookie with Nutella on it.
Also what takes it to the top is when the cookies are sent to you from your Iditarider in a care package full of goodies. Thank you Terri! We are really enjoying your treats. Can you believe that we still have some left??
While sitting at the table discussing our run, we had a HUGE Shaker...EARTHQUAKE ! The chandelier was swinging along with the hanging coffee cups. I was ready to dive for cover.
