Well, today Bob had to make a run into Wasilla to pick up a starter motor for the truck. We are hoping that will fix it, but we won't know until he replaces it. We called my son, Tyler and he did some troubleshooting over the phone.
Not having a dog truck is devastating...so Bob dropped me off at Ted and Paula's and I spent the day digging out the dog truck and trailer. I did have some help from a young man named Joe. I was so grateful for his help.
Bob spent about 5 hours under the truck working on it in -34 degree temperatures. He had to take many trips into the house to warm his hands by the stove. When he was finally finished around 6:30 that evening, we just held our breath. Bob turned the key and it turned over. Yeah ! We still couldn't start it until we had it plugged in to warm up. We ran the generator for about 4 hours and had a blanket draped over the hood. He also had a little propane heater going. At 11:00 we got the truck started. Good night...we are exhausted.
