THURSDAY

Got up today on schedule...no sleeping in. My morning starts with a cup of green tea. I enjoy looking out the sliding glass door and watching my dog team come to life. I open the slider and greet each one by name with a "Good Morning".

Then it is time to water the dogs and then scoop the kennel, then back in the house for breakfast. Now we are entertainment for the dogs as they watch our every move.

After breakfast we hooked up a 16 dog team and ran our usual route, numerous gee-haws while reversing some of the loops. It was a great run with Thornton and Magic in lead, two of my female leaders. We still had mud and mud puddles to plow through.

Back at the kennel we took out a 10 dog team and took them on a different trail. Going through a tunnel like overpass and crossing numerous driveways, our turnaround was through a very wooded trail as we headed back to the kennel. Great run.

Back at the kennel it is time to mix feed and feed the dogs. Then there was barely enough light to scoop the kennel.

While we were having dinner, I looked out the slider and to my surprise, Jimmy was in his house. All the dogs are in their houses. Yeah !
