THANKS SKEETER !

Well, I got up this morning and did the usual routine...fed and watered dogs. I was quite excited about the day, as the plan was that I would meet Skeeter at the Community Center. He was going to take me on a 5o mile trip out to Scary Tree. He would be my guide...and show me the way. I am terrible at learning trails and it usually takes me more than once on a trail to know where I am.

I was a bit concerned, as my dogs are really lacking long runs. Skeeter has quite a few more miles on his dogs and his miles are longer than mine. The other thing was that Skeeter runs his dogs faster than mine. I am training for distance and he is running sprint. He assured me that he was OK running my speed so that I could keep up with him and not lose him. He was my way home.

We made it back to the truck by headlamp. It will be interesting to see if I can do that run on my own and find my way back.

The run was great ! We actually went 54.7 miles. Way to go team !
