Nate, our butcher...in action. What a job he does !
We found Nate last year when I was scrambling to find freezer space for a ton of meat. Our temperatures were up to 40 degrees and it was too warm for us to cut it. I hauled 5 loads of meat in my Subaru to Nate's and ended up having him finish cutting up the meat that was still in blocks. He was a lifesaver! This year I transported our ton of meat right to him and it sat safely in his freezer container until today, when he started cutting it up and we bagged it.

Christina and Bob...ready and waiting !
Let the fun begin !
We had lots of help this year. Bob, Bob, Christina, Leslie, Terry and Anna were all onboard and willing to get their hands smelly ! We bagged and cut up 1130 pounds of meat. It consisted of Eureka Power, Eureka Hi Pro, Turkey Skins, Tripe, and Lamb. We will cut up our salmon and fat for the dogs at home.
It is nice knowing that our freshly cut meat will stay nice and frozen up until we deliver our drop bags to Anchorage next week. (more pics to come)
