What a difference from a few weeks ago when we were here training on the Denali. But, we left Willow with no trails suitable to run and beggars can't be choosy. I think that nearly everyone had the same idea that we had. The parking lot at the barricade was packed with dog trucks. It was like a musher's reunion...with nearly the entire Willow mushing community there on the Denali.
To name a few, we saw Vern Halter with Misha and Cindy, Dee Dee Jonrowe and Mike, Jim Lanier, Karin Hendricks, Wade Marrs, Newton Marshall,
One thing about training along the Denali Highway is that the views
are always spectacular. It is a visual feast for your eyes.
