Well, today was a slow start. Got up and watered and scooped the kennel. Then worked around the house trying to get some more organization to the chaos. Rigged up an accessory bad on my sled. It is handy for my mitts, handwarmers, head lamp, etc. Easy to get to without having to open up the main sled bag.
Then I hooked up a 10 dog team and we headed for the other side of the highway. Went out to "Cookie Dough". Trail was fast for the most part, standing water in some parts and slushy in others. We didn't see any teams until we were on our way back. Then we saw two teams heading for our side of the highway. It was a headlamp kind of day end.
Arnie did great and had no problem keeping up with the team. This evening our dog lot is like a skating rink. It is very slick. Time to put on the spikies. Time to do the snow dance and pray for colder temperatures.
