A Moment With Chad

Wow, the time just flew by.  I knew that it would.   This morning brought disappointment as the temperatures rose and we made the decision to not run dogs.   I have been running 2 teams a day and enjoying every moment of it.  Yes, even in the MUD.  It has been fun watching the dogs charge through the puddles.  By the time the 4 wheeler goes through, there is water and mud everywhere.

Looking out at the kennel, Roan, Spot, Chad, Ursa, Win, Chop and Circus are on top of their dog houses...some snoozing, others watching the kennel action.  Lake One Ear Up has receded and all of the runs are now above water.  There is still sand to shovel, but most of it has been distributed to the dog runs that needed it.   We figured that we got 3 inches of rain in 12 hours.  A lot of water for the ground to soak up.

Bye Bye Lake...Hello Dry Dog Runs

Win, Chop, Chip and Dale have adjusted beautifully to the kennel.  It is kind of like a homecoming for Win and Chop.  They are so dialed in to the cookies at their house after a run. After their run, they race back to their houses with tales wagging and eagerly wait for their cookies.   Chip and Dale are thinking that is a pretty good deal as well.  All 4 dogs belong to Angie and I am very grateful to have the opportunity to add them to my team.
